Alumni form a vital pillar of success for a B-School and SIMSREE is no exception. SIMAA, a non profit company registered under section 25, has been created to strengthen the bond between our esteemed alumni, faculty, students and of course the institute.

Many new events have been added to the already rich and varied bouquet of activities at SIMSREE. The existing activities are conducted, albeit with renewed vigour each year providing hands-on experience to the students in event management.

With the Government of Maharashtra sanctioning a panel of permanent faculty, SIMSREE has taken yet another step towards achieving excellence in the pursuit of academics.

In keeping with the rich Sydenham tradition of imparting high quality education, the Sydenham Institute of Management Studies and Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE) was founded in the year 1983. Since then, SIMSREE has endeavoured to produce global managers of shining excellence. Today, 25 years after its inception, SIMSREE stands as one of the most popular management institutes in India. Located at Churchgate, in the heart of the financial capital of the country, SIMSREE has the advantage of being the cynosure of the corporate world and the opportunity to draw from the finest in the industry.

(1) MASTER OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

The knowledge gained in the classroom is reinforced by the development of the right skills and approach through active participation in course projects and case studies. Every facet of learning at SIMSREE is object oriented, hence every subject taught and activity undertaken ensures that there is overall development of each and every faculty of the individual ensuring total competitiveness. The students are encouraged to think 'out of the box' and apply whatever is taught to them to real-world situations. SIMSREE is a student-driven college. Students at SIMSREE have the opportunity of applying their management skills on a daily basis. They have to make decisions which truly have an effect on the stakeholders. This makes the wisdom even more pertinent. The curriculum itself regularly reviewed by faculty, experts from the field and students alike, to ensure that newer facets of modern business are integrated into the learning curve at SIMSREE. Any knowledge outside the circle of the curriculum is acquired by means of conducting guest lectures by distinguished personalities from the relevant domain. This ensures that the students' knowledge is pertinent and up to date.

Masters of Management Studies (MMS: The Institute offers the Masters of Management Studies (MMS) course, a two year full - time post graduate degree course affiliated to the University of Mumbai, since 1983. This course is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi.

(2) POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (PGDBM)

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM):
The Institute offers a two year full - time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM). This is the only fully autonomous management programme offered by the Government of Maharashtra and run exclusively by and at SIMSREE. The institute kicked off with Diploma in Business Management, a one year course in 1976. This course was converted into a two year post graduate program in 1992 and the curriculum was accordingly updated
