OUR VISION
Mount Carmel College Bangalore envisions a life-oriented education that empowers the students through a humanizing and liberating process, to be agents of transformation and development at different levels of life. Enabled and empowered, they respond proactively to concerns and conflicts inherent in today’s reality, especially those of women and persons who are unable to exercise their freedom to be human, and work for the integrity of creation. The thrust is in the light of a ‘civilization’- the Kingdom of God, as envisaged and promoted by the Foundress, Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima.

To synergise women and those prevented from exercising their right to be human; through enlightening those regarding their basic human rights and helping them achieve the same.
To promote inter-cultural and inter-religious harmony and communion through promoting genuine dialogue in an atmosphere of respect and openness, we also facilitate experimental dialogue, whereby we work together for the common good of the human family.
To facilitate leadership among the students enabling them to be genuinely other centered, pro-actively enthusiastic, and spiritually and socially motivated towards personal, group and societal liberation.
To provide quality, integral education which is life, vocation and career oriented. We promote a climate for human and academic excellence with openness to learning, research, and the development of professionals’ skills, so that work towards the empowerment of persons and transformation of society will be fostered.
To work towards the integrity of creation through being conscious of and alert to the state of devastation and destruction of creation and the serious perils humankind is plunged into. We promote programmes/ movements that foster inter-connectedness, kinship and eco-justice.

Course Duration
Two years, full-time.
Corporate Entrants
The Institute offers admissions to Corporate sponsored candidates. The sponsoring company will have to bear such fees as applicable to such candidates. About 10% of the seats are reserved for corporate candidates.
Scholarships
Scholarships are provided to meritorious and deserving students.

The Curriculum
The program is spread over four semesters to be covered in two years. The first two semesters are common for all. A student is required to choose two elective groups (one in the Third Semester and another in the Fourth), which allows her to specialize in two different areas. The student also has to take up two projects, one at the end of the Second Semester and the other at the end of the Fourth Semester.

Admission to the XV Batch (2009-2011) Two Year Full Time Programme.
Eligibility: Women with Degree in any discipline (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.E, B.Tech, BBM, BHM etc.) with an aggregate of 50% marks.
Note: Final year students are also eligible to apply.
Registration for XLRI Admission Test (XAT)
Apply online only to XAT-2009 and register for Mount Carmel Institute of Management (MCIM).
Once you apply for the XAT-2009, you will be given an XAT ID.
Registration with MCIM Duly filled in application obtained from MCIM will have to be submitted at Mount Carmel Institute of Management, Bangalore
for registration. XAT ID of the candidate must be mentioned.
List of Candidates selected for GD & Interview will be notified at Mount Carmel College, PG Center.
