AIMA UGAT 2010 Online Registration

1. Obtaining of Demand Draft (Pre-Requisite):

You have to provide certain details from the Demand Draft at the time of online registration. Therefore, you must have the Demand Draft ready before filling up the Registration Form.

You are required to obtain a Demand Draft for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of 'All India Management Association-CMS' payable at New Delhi, in advance.

Application submitted without the details of the Demand Draft will not be accepted.

2. Fill UGAT Online Registration Form:

With the Demand Draft ready, you can do online registration. You are to exercise sufficient care while furnishing the details. Recheck before submitting online as no editing is possible after submission.

3. After filling the form correctly, submit the same online.

4. An auto-generated Registration Number is allotted to you on successful submission of online registration form and will appear on print version of the Registration Form.

5. Before taking the print out, save the print version of application form using 'SAVE AS' function in the 'FILE' menu of the window.

6. After taking the print out, affix your passport size photograph in the space provided and attach the Demand Draft with the print version of application.

7. You must keep an additional copy of the application form for all future reference.

Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination 2010 (HSEE 2010)

Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination - HSEE 2010: For HSEE admission to the 5 Year integrated Master of Arts Program (M.A) in one among the following 3 disciplines:

* Economics
* English Studies
* Development Studies

HSEE examination will be held on Sunday, 2nd May, 2010 between 10.00 and 13.00 hrs in all centres through out India.

The above HSEE date will remain unaltered even if this date is declared as a public holiday.

Eligibility for HSEE 2010

I. HSEE 2010 Qualification of Examination:

Candidates applying for HSEE 2010 should have either completed or be appearing in 2010 in any one of the following qualifying HSEE 2010 examinations:

* The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi; etc.
* Intermediate or 2 Year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
* Final Examination of 2 Year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
* General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
* High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.
* Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in any foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
* H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
* Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.

In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.

II. HSEE Eligibility Criteria for Candidates:

The candidates belonging to the general category must secure a minimum of 60% Marks in aggregate in their Qualifying Examination. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure a minimum of 55% in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

If any Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of Marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent Marks, and submit it at the time of joining.

In case, such a certificate is not provided by the candidate, the decision of the HSEE Admission Committee regarding his/her eligibility shall be final.

III. Important Notes for HSEE 2010:

1. All provisional admissions to candidates will stand cancelled, if the proof of having passed the qualifying examination, as per the eligibility criteria, is not submitted to the Institute latest by 30 September, 2010.

2. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. If an applicant is found ineligible at a later date even after admission, his/her admission will be cancelled.

3. The decision of the HSEE Admission Committee regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

IV. Date of Birth:

Only those candidates, whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October, 1985, are eligible for HSEE 2010. However, in the case of SC, ST and PD candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 Years, HSEE 2010 i.e., such candidates, who were born on or after 01 October, 1980, are eligible.

Only the date of birth as recorded in the High School (10th std.)/(12th Std.) first Board/Pre-University Certificate will be taken as authentic.

Candidates must produce a copy of this certificate along with the completed application form as a proof of their age and at the time of admission original certificate has to be produced failing which they will be disqualified.

V. Physical Fitness for HSEE 2010:

All qualified candidates will have to submit a Physical Fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format that will be made available to them along with offer of admission letter.

They will be admitted only if they are physically fit for pursuing a course of study at this Institute.

HSEE Admission Mode and Intake:

Admission is solely through Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE). The Program has a total of 46 seats in all the three disciplines put together.

Allocation of seats to individual disciplines will be made at the end of 3rd semester, based on the student's preference, performance (CGPA over the first three semesters) and availability of seats under each discipline.

COMEDK Under Graduate Entrance Test - COMEDK 2010 Exam Date

COMEDK 2010 Eligibility

COMEDK 2010 MBBS:

The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject and must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB. In addition, in the Common Entrance Test, must have secured not less than 50% marks in PCB.

2. SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject and must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB. In addition, in the Common Entrance Test, must have secured not less than 40% marks in PCB. Candidates should have attained the age of 17 years as on 31/12/2009.

COMEDK 2010 BDS:

1. General Merit candidates should have passed qualifying exam which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent exam recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject must have passed the subject and individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB. Candidates should have attained the age of 17 years as on 31/12/2009. There is no Common Entrance Test for admission during the year 2010-2010.

2. SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka a minimum of 40% of marks taken together in PCB. All other requirements are same as applicable for General Merit candidates.

COMEDK Exam 2010 B.E:

1. General Merit candidates, the minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent qualifying Examination recognized by State / Central Government with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. English as one of the language of study is compulsory. There is no minimum marks fixed for entrance test. Hence all candidates who have taken the entrance test will find a place in the merit list as per their performance.

2. SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka the aggregate marks in PCM should be not less than 40% in the qualifying examination as mentioned above.

COMEDK 2010 B. Arch

1. A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination (2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination) with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka. Further the candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both general merit and category candidates.

2. COMEDK will not be conducting any Common Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B.Arch (Architecture Course) as per existing rules.

COMEDK 2010 Application Forms

The COMEDK UGET 2010 Application Process involves the following stages:

Send the COMEDK 2010 Application Forms in A4 size envelope only. Do not fold the COMEDK application form 2010.

Applicants are requested to send the filled-in COMEDK Application Form 2010 at the earliest to avoid any delay. Please do not wait until the last date to send in your COMEDK 2010 Forms.

* Ensure that the Demand Draft for Rs.650/- (Rupees six hundred fifty only) if you intend to appear for COMEDK 2010 MBBS (PCB) or BE (PCM) and Rs.850/- (Rupees eight hundred fifty only) for MBBS and BE (PCMB) Demand Draft to be kept ready before filling up the COMEDK 2010 Online Application form, as you will have to enter the Demand Draft details.

* The COMEDK 2010 Online application form has to be filled up properly and completely.

* Take a print of the filled in COMEDk UGET 2010 Application form and Date of Birth Certificate/ Identity Proof (Two Copies : 1) Candidate Copy and 2) COMEDK Copy).

* The COMEDK UGET 2010 Application form is said to be complete only if it is enclosed with all the documents and posted to COMEDK office.

* Multiple COMEDK application forms filled and received from the same candidate will result in confusion and may result in disqualification.

* Multiple Demand Drafts in excess of the prescribed fee (Rs. 650/- or Rs. 850/-) if sent by the candidate will not be refunded.

* Non refundable fee for taking COMEDK UGET-2010 and attending centralized counseling if eligible is (Rs. 650/- or Rs. 850/-)

* If Demand Draft is not enclosed the COMEDK UGET application will be rejected.

Note:

The recent passport size photographs to be provided have to be identical. It should not be more than 6 months old. Application with smudged/tampered or hazy photograph will not be accepted. Orissa Joint Entrance Examination 2010 (OJEE)

The Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (Orissa JEE) is conducted by the State of Orissa for admission to the first year Degree courses in Engineering/Technology, MBBS/BDS, Pharmacy, MCA, MBA and to the Lateral Entry of State candidates to third semester of degree courses in Engineering/Technology and Pharmacy.

For admission to BTech, MBBS, BDS, BPharm, MCA and MBA courses and Lateral Entry to BTech, BPharm Courses in Government and Private Colleges.

The Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (Orissa JEE 2010) for the year 2010 - 2011, Orissa shall be held on Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at selected centres for admission to the first year Degree courses in Engineering/Technology, MBBS/BDS, Pharmacy, MCA, MBA and to the Lateral Entry of State candidates to third semester of degree courses in Engineering/Technology, and Pharmacy.

(ii) Pharmacy: Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry and one from Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science /Biology or pass in 10+3 diploma course in Pharmacy including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&T, Orissa or equivalent.

(iii) MBBS/BDS: Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% marks in aggregate in these subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST) with age between 17 and 25 years as on 31.12.2010 (relaxable up to 3 years for SC/ST candidates).

(B) For Orissa JEE 2010 Admission to First Year Masters programme in

(i) Computer Application (MCA): Pass or appearing in 2010 three years Bachelor’s Degree examination in any discipline with pass in Mathematics at 10+2 level or in +3 level.

(ii) Business Administration (MBA): Pass or appearing in 2010 three years Bachelor’s Degree examination in any discipline from a UGC recognized University.

(C) For Orissa JEE 2010 Admission to Second Year Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy under Lateral Entry

Pass or appearing in 3 years diploma course in Engineering, Pharmacy with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&VT, Orissa or equivalent.

(D) For Orissa JEE 2010 Admission to Second Year Engineering/Technology under Lateral Entry

Pass or appearing in 2010, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (First Division) with Mathematics at +3 level.

(E) For Orissa JEE 2010 Admission to Second Year Pharmacy under Lateral Entry

Pass or appearing in 2010, for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (First Division) with Biology at +3 level.

The ratio of distribution of Orissa JEE seats under lateral entry for Diploma : B. Sc. is 80:20.

Note: Candidates are to produce their complete result alongwith original marksheet of qualifying examination at the time of counselling for admission.

OJEE 2010 Admission Reservation:

The percentage of seats to be reserved for different categories is subject to change and the decision of the State Government as on the date of admission will be applicable.

Outside State Candidate:

Outside State candidates are not eligible for admission in Govt. Colleges but they are eligible for admission to Privates Colleges except private Medical (MBBS/BDS) Colleges.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The MBA Programme consists of 21 courses in all. These comprise of:

The University will be admitting the students for the above degree/diplomas in Management starting from July 2009 through an entrance test 'OPENMAT' to be held as per schedule given below.

IGNOU OPENMAT 2010 Eligibility:

The following eligibility criteria has been approved by the Academic Council at its 46th meeting held on 13.01.2009 (AC 46.39.3).

1. Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks for reserved category;
OR

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of supervisory/managerial/professional experience.

2. Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU. The candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into Management Programme conducted by institutions like CAT, MAT and State level tests need not appear in OPENMAT.

For Foreign Students

Foreign students residing in India are eligible to seek admission in IGNOU programmes that have valid student visa for the minimum duration of the programme. Such students are required to remit the fee at par with foreign students (fee structure of foreign students could be downloaded from the http://www.ignou.ac.in). Admission of foreign students residing in India will be processed by the International Division of the University after ensuring their antecedents from the Ministry of External Affairs/Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Programmes with fixed number of seats are not opened for foreign students.

Admission to MBA (Management Programme) From Dim and PGSDM

Those who are Non-graduates and who have successfully completed DIM would be allowed to get admission into Management Programs (MBA), without re-appearing in Entrance Test (OPENMAT), after completing Bachelor's degree, if they so desire. In such a case they should send the re-registration form along with the mark sheet and copy of the Bachelor's Degree to the concerned Regional Director for getting admission to MBA, within the dates prescribed by the University for re-registration. Normally the dates are 1st February to 31st March and 1st August to 1st October for respective semesters.

The students qualifying any of PG Specialization Diplomas, if desirous of pursuing MBA, may do so by registering for other courses. However those who have done PG Specialization Diplomas under Direct Entry stream prior to 1997 will have to qualify OPENMAT test and apply for credit transfer by paying requisite fee on prescribed form to the Registrar (SR&E), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 as per credit transfer rules.

IGNOU OPENMAT Entrance Test (OPENMAT XXVI, OPENMAT XXVII and IGNOU OPENMAT XXVIII)

Admission to Management Programmes of IGNOU is done through OPENMAT Entrance Examinations, held twice a year.

For appearing in the entrance test (OPENMAT) a student has to fill up APPLICATION FORM FOR OPENMAT ENTRANCE TEST- Form 1 which is provided separately in an envelope alongwith this STUDENT HANDBOOK AND PROSPECTUS.

WBJEE Eligibility 2010

The applicant must be a citizen of India and should have passed the H.S. (10+2) or its equivalent examination. The general candidates must have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biological Sciences taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30% marks in English (for all categories). In addition, candidates must secure at least pass marks in the subjects individually including vernacular (or any other fifth subject) as mentioned below:

WBJEE 2010 Eligibility for B.E/B.Tech./B.Arch: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and vernacular or any other fifth subject.

WBJEE 2010 Eligibility for M.B.B.S/B.D.S/B.V.Sc: Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, English and vernacular or any other fifth subject.

WBJEE 2010 Eligibility for Pharmacy: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biological Sciences, English and vernacular or any other fifth subject.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2010 will be allowed to sit for JEM-2010 provisionally and their admission, if merit listed, will be subjected to satisfying the minimum requirements of eligibility as specified above.

Age Restriction: Applicant shall be between 17 years and 24 years of age on 31st December 2010.

There is no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering course for which the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.07.2010.

Residential Requirements for West Bengal JEE 2010: Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Government Engineering / Technology Colleges, Govt. Medical and Dental Colleges as well as to Private Medical and Dental Colleges, must have been residing in the State of West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2009 or their parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal having their permanent home address in the State of West Bengal.

WBJEE 2010 Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST/PC candidates are as per State Govt. Rules.

WBJEE 2010 Exam Centres: To be located in the State of West Bengal and Tripura.

Issue of WBJEE 2010 Admit Card

After receipt of WBJEE 2010 Application Form by the Board, an Admit Card will be sent to the applicant indicating his/her Examination Centre of the Joint Entrance Examination by Speed Post.

However, the Board will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to loss of Admit Card in transit. The Form Number will serve as the Enrolment Number.

In case the applicant does not receive the Admit Card by April 3, 2010, he/she should contact this Board website to ascertain as to whether his/her Application Form Number is included within the cancellation list of application forms. If not, then he/she should contact personally/through authorized representative along with following relevant documents for procurement of duplicate admit card.

1.
Xerox copy of the filled-in WBJEE Application Form.
2.
Postal slip for despatch of filled-in Application Form (Speed Post).
3.
Two identical copies of the colour photographs (as pasted in the Application Form) duly attested by the Head of the recognised institution last attended.
4.
Bank Slip (which is retained by the candidate).
5.
Original admit cards of Madhyamik (10th Standard) or equivalent examinations/H.S.(10+2) or equivalent examinations.

Duplicate admit card will be issued from the office of the Board, to the concerned candidates in person from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the period from 06.04.2010 to 9.04.2010.

After receipt, if the Original admit card is lost before examination then for obtaining the duplicate admit card the original copy of the missing diary lodged in the local police station in this regard will have to be produced in addition to the aforesaid documents; as stated above [Vide a) to e)]. Requisite fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) in the form of a Bank Draft to be drawn in favour of "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board," payable at Kolkata/Howrah has to be paid for the purpose.

Candidates must ensure that the photographs on the admit card are not mutilated/distorted/soiled even by accident and the hologram pasted on the photograph is not torn or taken out. Candidates with such admit cards will not be allowed to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination.

Candidates must retain their admit cards carefully in a secured place in undamaged condition in all respect as stated above till the completion of admission procedure. No duplicate Admit Card will be issued after the Joint Entrance Examination under any circumstances.

Selected candidates for both the M.B.B.S. and B.D.S. Course will have to furnish bonds undertaking to serve the State Government anywhere in the State for a minimum period of 3 years after passing.
All applicants who appear to be prima facie eligible shall be provisionally permitted to sit for the Joint Entrance Examination. If, after scrutiny at any stage, it is found that an applicant is otherwise ineligible his/her candidature will be automatically cancelled even if he/she has appeared at the Joint Entrance Examination and secured a position in the merit list or at any stage during Counselling/admission or registration.

The candidature of a candidate will be automatically cancelled if he/she fails to produce any of the required appropriate documents in original during counselling / admission or registration for fulfillment of eligibility and other criteria as specified earlier.

WBJEE 2010 Selection

WBJEE Selection for M.B.B.S. Course and B.D.S. Course will be based on the Rank position in the Merit List of the Joint Entrance Examination having regard to preferences for Medical or Dental Colleges and subject to passing the qualifying examination satisfying the eligibility criteria.

Counselling of the Merit Listed candidates for admission to MBBS/BDS courses will be conducted by the Central Selection Committee (Medical). The venue, dates and time of the aforesaid counselling will be notified by the concerned authority in due course.

Medical Entrance Exam: AIPMT Exam (All India Pre Medical Test - AIPMT)

Medical Entrance Exam :: AIPMT Exam ::

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, would be conducting the All-India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental (AIPMT) Entrance Examination. This entrance examination is being conducted exclusively for the 15% merit positions for the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to time.

AIPMT 2010 Preliminary Exam: 3rd April, 2010 (Saturday) 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM

AIPMT 2010 Final Exam: 16th May, 2010 (Sunday)

AIPMT Exam Pattern - (AIPMT 2010):

Preliminary Examination: The duration of paper would be 3 hours.
The Preliminary Examination would consist of one paper containing 200 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.

AIPMT Final Exam:

(Only for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination)

The Final Examination would consist of two papers each of 2 hours duration. Paper-1 would contain questions from Physics and Chemistry and Paper-2 would contain questions from Biology (Botany Zoology).

The Final Examination will have conventional (non-objective) type of questions to be answered in the Answer Book supplied.

AIPMT 2010 Language of the Question Papers

Candidates can opt for Question Papers either in English or in Hindi. This option should be exercised while filling in the Application Form. It cannot be changed later.

AIPMT Entrance Exam 2010 Eligibility Details

(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

(iii) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

iv) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates.

Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are taking plus two examination in 2010 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

(v) 15% seats for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 27% seats for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Institutions only and 3% seats on horizontal basis for Physically Handicapped candidates are reserved in 15% All India Quota for MBBS/BDS courses.

AIPMT Application Form 2010

A candidate can apply for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination in the following two ways:

AIPMT 2010 Offline:

Offline submission of Application may be made on the prescribed Application Form. The Information Bulletin and Application Form costing Rs.800/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.450/- for SC/ST category can be obtained against Cash Payment from the designated branches of Canara Bank/Regional Offices of the CBSE between 20-10-2009 to 27-11-2009.

Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by Post from the Board by sending a written request with a Demand Draft for Rs.850/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category payable to the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi along with a Self Addressed Envelope of size 12" x 10".

The request must reach to the Board on or before 18-11-2009. The request should be superscribed as "Request for Information Bulletin and Application Form for AIPMT-2010".

AIPMT 2010 Online:

Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board's website http://www.cbse.nic.in from 20-10-2009 (10.00 A.M.) to 27-11-2009 (5.00 P.M.)..

Instructions for sending online application, payment of fee and computer generated printout are available on the Board's website.

Fee of Rs.800/- for General/OBC Category Candidates and Rs.450/- for SC/ST Category Candidates may be remitted in the following ways:

1. By Credit card, or

2. Through Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi.

Last date of submission of Application Form: Both offline and online(Computer generated printout) Application should be sent through registered post/speed post only so as to reach to the Board on or before 04-12-2009.

Engineering Entrance Exam :: AIEEE Entrance Exam ::

All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is held for the candidates seeking admission to Engineering, Architecture, Planning and Pharmacy degree courses in different engineering colleges and institutes in India. The exam is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in compliance with the directives of the Government of India (GOI). A centralized counselling system is provided for filling up the available seats all over India. This counselling is available only for the candidates who stand in merit of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE 2010) is for all engineering aspirants who have appeared for or passed Class XII from any national or state recognised board.

This exam is conducted for admission to the 20 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), four Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM), 16 self-financed deemed universities and nine other central and state government-funded institutions. The number of attempts for this exam is restricted to three.

AIEEE Central Counselling Board Admission Procedure:

As per the direction of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), 50 per cent of the seats in NITs will be filled from AIEEE 2010 eligible candidates of states where NITs are located and the other 50 per cent will be filled on an all-India merit basis. The MHRD will make efforts to establish NITs for those states/union territories that do not have NITs as of now.

In case the new NITs are not established before the start of admission based on AIEEE 2010, seats will be made available for the eligible students of such states/UTs which do not have any NIT, so as to keep the number of seats for such states/UTs at the level of 2007, after making due adjustment for the number of seats filled by eligible candidates of these states/ UTs. A list of the participating institutions will be furnished by Central Counselling Board 2010 at the appropriate time and will be available on the CCB website: www.ccb.nic.in.

The eighth All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admissions in B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch./B. Planning in various national level institutes like NITs, IITs, Deemed Universities and government funded institutions and States like Haryana and Uttaranchal will be held on 25th April, 2010 all over India and abroad.

AIEEE Examination will be held in two parts viz

* B.E./B.Tech from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
* B.Arch. /B. Planning from 1400 hrs to 1700 hrs.

AIEEE Eligibility 2010:

Candidates are, however, required to appear in the papers as per Scheme of Examination for AIEEE 2010 specified.

The minimum academic qualification for admission through AIEEE is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE for consideration of provisional admission. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class 12) in 2011 are not eligible to appear in AIEEE-2010.

Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.E./B.Tech. and B. Arch./B. Planning Courses shall be as under:

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination shall be limited to 03(three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. The candidates passed +2 to exam in 2008, 2009 or appearing in +2 in 2010 are only eligible to appear in AIEEE-2010. Candidates passed +2 in 2007 or before or appearing in 2011 are not eligible to appear in AIEEE-2010.

Date of Birth

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1984 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1979 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.

Joint Admission Test (JAM) for Master of Computer Application (MCA), Master of Sciences (M.Sc.) for admissions in various IITs across the country.

From the Academic Session 2004 - 2005, Indian Institutes of Technology have started conducting a Joint Admission test to M.Sc. (JAM) for admission to M.Sc. and other post-B.Sc. programmes at the IITs.

IIT JAM Admission Test 2010

IIT Joint Admission Test (IIT JAM 2010) for Master of Computer Application (MCA), Master of Sciences (M.Sc.) for admissions in various IITs across the country.

JAM 2010 is to be held on 2nd May 2010 (Sunday) in two sessions. The schedule for different test papers of JAM 2010 is given in the following table. Each test paper will be of three hours duration.

Number of test papers allowed: A candidate can appear in either one or two test papers, subject to the restrictions imposed by the Test schedule and on payment of requisite additional fees for the second test paper, if applicable.

Candidates desiring to appear in two test papers must ensure, from the Test schedule, that there is no clash of time schedule for the chosen test papers.

IIT JAM 2010 General Information:

The JAM 2010 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). Candidates seeking admission to academic programmes covered under JAM 2010 need to appear in JAM 2010. There is no age restriction.

For admission, foreign nationals will be required to satisfy the rules and regulations of the admitting Institute(s) pertaining to foreign students. For further details, they are advised to contact the Admitting Institute(s) concerned.

To apply for admission to a desired programme, a candidate is required to qualify in the corresponding test paper and also satisfy the minimum educational qualifications and eligibility criteria of the academic programme.

The candidates who have either appeared or are due to appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2010 are also eligible to appear in the test. On qualifying JAM 2010, such candidates can apply for provisional admission subject to the condition that: (i) all parts of their final examination shall be completed by the date of registration of the Admitting Institute, and (ii) proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility, as specified by the admitting institute will be submitted by 30th September 2010.

Admissions to various academic programmes at different institutes will be made on the basis of merit in JAM 2010. On the basis of performance in the test, for each test paper, separate merit lists will be prepared for General, OBC (non-creamy layer), SC, ST and Persons with Disability (PD) category candidates.

Request for the change of category, if any, with proper documentation, should reach the Organizing Institute by 20th February 2010. Requests received after this date will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Candidates should note that mere appearance in JAM 2010 or being in the merit list of any test paper neither guarantees nor provides any automatic entitlement for admission. Qualified candidates will have to apply for admission as per the prescribed procedure. Admissions shall be made in the order of merit and depending on the number of seats available at the Admitting Institute(s).

With regard to the interpretation of the provisions of any matter not covered in this Information Brochure, the decision of the Organizing Institute shall be final and binding on all the parties concerned.

Academic Programs

The following are the full-time M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree and other post-bachelor's degree programmes at different IITs to which admissions shall be made on the basis of JAM 2010.

IIT Bombay (IITB): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programmes in (i) Applied Geology, (ii) Applied Geophysics (iii) Applied Statistics and Informatics,, (iv) Biotechnology, (v) Chemistry, (vi) Mathematics, and (vii) Physics. M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree programmes in (i) Biotechnology, (ii) Energy, (iii) Environmental Science and Engineering, (iv) Operations Research, and (v) Physics. Both the degrees will be awarded together after the successful completion of the programmes.

IIT Delhi (IITD): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programmes in (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics, and (iii) Physics.

IIT Guwahati (IITG): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programmes in (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics and Computing, and (iii) Physics.

IIT Kanpur (IITK): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programmes in (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics, (iii) Physics, and (iv) Statistics.

M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree programmes in Physics (Transfer from M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree programme to M.Sc. Physics programme is not permitted. However, for the students admitted to the M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree programme, the M.Sc. degree will be given after successful completion of all academic requirements of the first six semesters while working towards Ph.D. degree).

IIT Kharagpur (IITKgp): Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. programmes in (i) Chemistry, (ii) Geology, (iii) Geophysics, (iv) Mathematics, and (v) Physics. The students will have an option to exit and receive the M.Sc. degree after the successful completion of all academic requirements for the first four semesters.

IIT Madras (IITM): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programmes in (i) Chemistry, (ii) Mathematics, and (iii) Physics.

IIT Roorkee (IITR): Two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) programmes in (i) Applied Geology, (ii) Applied Mathematics, (iii) Biotechnology, (iv) Chemistry, (v) Industrial Mathematics and Informatics and (vi) Physics.

Three-year Master of Technology (M.Tech.) programmes (Lateral entry at 3rd Year level in the Integrated M.Tech. programmes) in (i) Geological Technology and (ii) Geophysical Technology.

Three-year Interdisciplinary Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme.
IIT JAM Eligibility 2010

Minimum Educational Qualifications for IIT JAM Admission Test 2010:

M.Sc. Applied Geology (IITB, IITR)/ Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Geology (IITKgp)/ M.Tech. Geological Technology (IITR): Bachelor's degree with Geology as a subject for three years/six semesters and any two subjects among Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biological Science. The candidate must have Mathematics at (10+2) level.

M.Sc. Applied Geophysics (IITB): Bachelor's degree with both Mathematics and Physics as subjects for two years and at least one of them as a subject for three years.

M.Sc. Applied Statistics and Informatics (IITB)/ M.Sc. Statistics (IITK): Bachelor's degree with either Mathematics or Statistics as a subject for at least two years/ four semesters.

M.Sc. Biotechnology (IITB, IITR): M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in Biotechnology (IITB): Bachelor's degree in any branch of Science/ Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering / Medicine (MBBS).

M.Sc. Chemistry (IITB, IITD, IITG, IITK, IITM, IITR)/ Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Chemistry (IITKgp): Bachelor's degree with Chemistry as a subject for three years/six semesters and Mathematics at (10+2) level.

M.Sc. Mathematics (IITB, IITD, IITK, IITM)/ M.Sc. Mathematics and Computing (IITG)/ M.Sc. Applied Mathematics (IITR)/ M.Sc. Industrial Mathematics and Informatics (IITR)/ Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Mathematics (IITKgp): Bachelor's degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least two years/four semesters.

M.Sc. Physics (IITB, IITD, IITG, IITK, IITM, IITR)/ Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Physics (IITKgp)/ M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in Physics (IITB, IITK): Bachelor's degree with Physics as a subject for at least two years/ four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/ two semesters.

Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. in Geophysics (IITKgp): Bachelor's degree with any two subjects among Physics, Mathematics and Geology for three years/ six semesters.

M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in Energy (IITB): Bachelor's degree with any one of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for two years/four semesters, and any one of the remaining two subjects for at least one year/ two semesters.

M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in Environmental Science & Engineering, (IITB): Bachelor's degree with any one of Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for two years/four Semesters, and any one of the remaining two subjects for at least one year/two Semesters.

M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in Operations Research (IITB): Bachelor's degree with either Mathematics or Statistics as a subject for at least two years or four semesters.

M.Tech. Geophysical Technology (IITR): Bachelor's degree with Mathematics and Physics as subjects and anyone of the following subjects: Chemistry, Geology, Statistics, Electronics and Computer Science.

Master of Computer Applications [MCA] (IITR): Bachelor's degree with Mathematics as a subject for at least one year for annual system candidates/ at least two papers of Mathematics for semester system candidates.

Eligibility Requirement for IIT JAM 2010 Admisison:

The candidates who qualify in JAM 2010 shall have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admissions in IITs.

At least 55% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC, ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.
For candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute(s).

Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the minimum educational qualification as specified by the admitting institute should be submitted by 30th September 2010.
At the time of admission, all admitted candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed form. At the time of registration, the admitted candidates may also have to undergo a physical fitness test by a medical board constituted by the Admitting Institute. In case a candidate is not found to be physically fit to pursue his/her chosen course of study, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled.

Note:

1. It will entirely be the responsibility of the candidate to prove that he/she satisfies the minimum educational qualifications and eligibility requirements for admissions.

2. The admitting institute has the right to cancel, at any stage, the admission of a candidate who is found to have been admitted to a course to which he/she is not entitled, being unqualified or ineligible in accordance with the rules and regulations in force.

IIT JAM Application Form 2010

Candidates may apply for JAM-2010 through one of the two different procedures, namely "IIT JAM 2010 Offline" and "IIT JAM 2010 Online".

IIT JAM 2010 Offline Application Form:

The "OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) Application Form of IIT JAM 2010" along with the "IIT JAM 2010 Information Brochure" and "IIT JAM 2010 Acknowledgement Card" will be available from 22nd December 2009 to 22nd January 2010 on cash payment of application fee of Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC category male candidates, Rs. 900/- for General/OBC category female candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST and PD candidates from the designated branches of Canara Bank listed below.

The "IIT JAM OMR Application Form" and the "IIT JAM 2010 Information Brochure" can also be obtained by Post from the JAM Office, IIT Madras by making a written request along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- for General category male candidates, Rs.900/- for General category female candidates and Rs.500/- for SC/ST and PD candidates, drawn in favour of "JAM 2010", on any Nationalized Bank, payable at Chennai and a self-addressed slip (11.0 cm x 6.0 cm).

Such requests must reach the JAM office, IIT Madras, latest by 18th January, 2010. The application material shall be dispatched by registered post. JAM Office, IIT Madras, however, does not take any responsibility for the late delivery of application material, due to postal delay or loss of documents in transit.

Once an IIT JAM 2010 Application Form has been purchased either from the Bank or by post from the JAM Office, IIT Madras, any claim for refund of the fees, for any reason whatsoever, will not be entertained nor can this fees be held in reserve for future.

The IIT JAM 2010 OMR Application Form enclosed in the envelope provided with the JAM Information Brochure is to be completed by the candidate in all respects. After reading the instructions given in Section 13, carefully fill in all the items of the form. Fold the IIT JAM 2010 Form only where it was originally folded. Also write the code(s) of the test paper(s) applied, and the first choice of city/town of test on the top-left portion of the envelope.

The candidates desiring to appear for a second test paper must clearly mention their option in the OMR Application Form for IIT JAM Exam 2010. Such candidates are required to pay an additional fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST and PD candidates) through a demand draft in favour of "JAM 2010", on any Nationalized Bank, payable at Chennai. This demand draft is to be sent along with the IIT JAM OMR Application Form 2010.

IIT JAM 2010 Online Application Form:

The facility for IIT JAM 2010 Online Registration will be available through the website http://jam.iitm.ac.in/ from 22nd December 2009. The last date for submission of IIT JAM 2010 Online Application Forms on website is 25th January 2010. A candidate can fill-in electronically his/her personal data and the appropriate application fee can be paid by a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "JAM 2010", on any nationalized Bank, payable at Chennai.

After electronically filling his/her personal data and information pertaining to the Demand Draft in the Online Application Form for IIT JAM Exam 2010 on the website, the candidate can download this form and take a print out of the same. The photograph, declaration and signature will have to be provided by the candidate on the printed Online Registration Form. The photograph should be glued at the appropriate place provided in the form and must not be stapled and not be signed/attested. The candidate is also advised to keep a photocopy of the completed IIT JAM Online Registration Form 2010 for his/her record.

IIT JAM 2010 Acknowledgement Card: A printed acknowledgement card is enclosed with the OMR Application Form. The candidate has to write his/her name and mailing address in the space provided and enclose this card with the OMR Application Form after affixing postage stamp of Rs.6/-. The Organizing Institute will post the card immediately on receipt of the OMR IIT JAM 2010 Application Form. The acknowledgement card must not be stapled with the OMR IIT JAM Application Form 2010.

List of Enclosures and the Address for Sending the Completed OMR IIT JAM 2010 Application Form: (i) Bank/JAM Office Pay-in-slip, (ii) Stamped Acknowledgement Card, (iii) Demand Draft for the second test paper, if applicable, (iv) SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) Certificate (copy), if applicable, and (v) Disability Certificate (copy), if applicable.

The completed OMR Application Form for IIT JAM 2010 Exam can also be submitted in person at the JAM office, IIT Madras, during office hours on working days.

Last Date for Receipt of the Completed IIT JAM OMR Application Form 2010: Last date for receipt of the duly completed OMR Application Form of IIT JAM 2010 at the JAM Office, IIT Madras, is 1st February 2010. Any OMR JAM Application Form 2010 received after this date will not be accepted. Any delay in receiving the application material by the candidate will not be considered as a valid reason for the late submission of the completed OMR IIT JAM 2010 Application Form after the deadline. The institute will not be responsible for any postal delay or irregularity or loss in postal transit.
