B.M.S. Institute of Technology is a private Engineering
College located in the outskirts of Bangalore and is a sister concern of the
BMS College of Engineering (a government college). Functioning under the
umbrella of the B.M.S. Educational trust, this institute was founded by Mr.
Narayana, son of Mr. Srinivasaiah (founder of the BMS Educational Trust) in the
year 2002.
The college is located on the Doddaballapur main road which
is about five kilometers from Yelahanka and 12 kilometers from the Bengaluru
International Airport. This institute is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya
Technological University and has received the status of a Research Institution
by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in the year 2005. This
institute is also approved by AICTE in New Delhi.
Eligibility criteria:
- The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre University or XII standard or equivalent examinations held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects , along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics and has secured not less than forty five (45%) percent of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the language for admission to Engineering & Technology courses.
- Provided further that the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the **Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes specified in the relevant Government order for the purpose of reservation in respect of Engineering and Technology courses. Please Note: ** the relaxation in academic eligibility is extended only to Karnataka candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes.
The following
documents should be submitted at the time of admission.
- Copy of S.S.L.C / S.S.C (10th) Marks Card.
- Copy of P U C (10+2) Marks Card.
- Copy of Transfer Certificate.
- Copy of Physical fitness Certificate issued by an MBBS Doctor.
- Copy of Migration Certificate for Non-Karnataka Students.
- Caste Income along with Sindhuthwa Pramana Patra in respect of Karnataka Candidates only.
