ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India),
IBS (Indian Business School), Gurgaon was established in 1995. Land acquisition
is in progress. Campus project will be taken up in 2010 after obtaining
necessary approvals. A proposal will be submitted in due course to the
Government of Haryana for the establishment of ICFAI University in Haryana.
It
provides quality business education and engages in research, training, and
consultancy in the field of management and allied subjects. IBS offers two-year,
full-time Postgraduate Program in Management (PGPM) to prepare the students and
equip them for successful corporate careers. As IBS campuses do not award
degree or diploma, they have not sought AICTE approval. Students are encouraged
to enrol for a fleximode / distance learning MBA from any University
separately. IBS offers high-quality programs in different areas of management
to a cross-section of students, executives and professionals across India. IBS
has a reputation for innovative program design and delivery, quality
courseware, personalized instruction, strong industry interface, research,
consultancy and publications.
The school has taken up campus projects to
provide better academic ambience and learning environment for its students and
faculty.
These modern campuses will be self–sufficient with
facilities like academic and administrative blocks, classrooms, seminar and
conference rooms, hostels, residences for faculty and staff, communication
facilities, executive training complex, auditorium, clinic, bank, post office,
etc. The campus is well-equipped with web-enabled amphitheatre classrooms,
seminar halls, an auditorium, and a 24-hour computer centre. IBS conducts an an
aptitude test - IBSAT, which is conducted by the Federation of Universities
(FedUni), for students seeking admission into the management programs. IBSAT
consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is for 2 hours duration and is
aimed to test the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data
interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading
comprehension.
