Al Ameen Medical
College in Bijapur is situated in a vast area against the backdrop of a
historical city. The college was founded in 1984 and is the brainchild of Dr.
Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, the founder of the Al Ameen movement. Al- Ameen medical
College is reputed and famed throughout India and people from all over the
country vie for a spot in the courses offered by the college. The college
premises are annexed to a well equipped hospital that caters to the medical needs
of the people in the area.
Al-Ameen medical college admissions get filled up pretty
quickly for both the UG and PG courses. The labs are properly equipped and are
state of the art as are the classrooms. Built on a sprawling area of 200 acres
of land, Al- Ameen Medical College has an imposing campus and has various

Every MBBS students shall undergo a period of certified
study extended over 4 ½ academic years from the date of commencement of his/her
study for the subjects comprising the medical curriculum to the date of
completion to the examination followed by one year Compulsory Roating
Internship, which includes 06 months in rural posting and 06 months long
posting After passing the final MBBS examination students must have temporary
registration from Karnataka Medical Council and full registration after completing
the one year internship.
The first 12 months will include Phase I (pre Clinical ) and
no students will be allowed to enter the Phase II unless he/she clears Phase I.
He/She is permitted to have 4 attempts spread over or three years from date of
admission whichever is earlier.
After the Pre-clinical subjects Para-clinical subjects will
be taught with clinical subject and last 18 months clinical subjects
