Sir M Visvesvaraya
Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT), Bangalore founded by Sri
Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust in 1986, Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of
Technology in Bangalore boasts state of the art laboratory facilities, skilled
faculty members, fully equipped labs and seminar halls equipped with multimedia
facilities. Sprawling over 53.8 hectares surrounded with lush greenery and
nature, the college offers both under graduate and post graduate engineering
courses. In addition to regular curriculum, students can pursue curricular activities
including sports and cultural activities. The hobby centre is the place where
the students can do creative work in science and engineering. The college has
been ranked number one among the engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka
by the magazine Dataquest.
Eligibility-
Minimum age for admission to First Year Degree is ordinarily
17 yearsCandidate should have passed Second Year PUC or XII Standard or 10+2 or
equivalentexamination (Qualifying Examination) with Physics and Mathematics
along with Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Electronics as optional
subjects and with English as one of the languages of study, and should have
obtained at least 45% marks in the optional subjects

BE /B.Arch Candidates seeking admission to BE can choose one

test for seats under management quota . This quota is available for candidates
