Masters in Management Studies(MMS)

The Masters in Management Studies (MMS) is a two-year full time management program affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The program is conducted under the direction of the University with functional specializations offered in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Operations, System & HR. SIESCOMS believes that class room learning, unless put to test in the real world, is meaningless; it therefore draws upon its excellent ties with the industry to go beyond the University stipulations and offers a holistic learning experience to the student.

PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management):-

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is an AICTE approved program offered by SIESCOMS, addressing the need for multi-faceted, multi-skilled managers who are capable of handling complex situations and are quick to adapt to change.

The PGDBA is a 24-month full time program covered over four semesters and offers students a dual specialization ensuring that they are thoroughly skilled in at least one functional area while having more than a fundamental working knowledge of another. The PGDM course seeks to enhance the students’ learning by offering knowledge-building projects in each semester, while fine-tuning their leadership, communication and inter-personal skills.

A 2-week induction course is conducted for all the participants. The objective of this capsule is to ensure that all the students start off at the same level in terms of the minimum knowledge required to grasp the forthcoming lectures

PGDPM (Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management):-

SIESCOMS is the pioneer to initiate a course on Pharmaceutical Management based on an understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry’s need for skilled and competent professionals.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management was started in 1997 in collaboration with the Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA). It is a 24 –month full time AICTE approved program catering to the needs of the Pharmaceutical industry, and offers education on industry specific subjects like Pharmaceutics, Physiology, GMP, Pharma Marketing (including Product Management, Brand Building, New Project Launch and Sales Force Management), IPR, Drug Regulation, International Marketing in addition to General Management. SIESCOMS is the pioneer to recognize the Pharma industry's need for skilled and competent professionals in the knowledge economy.

The program aims at meeting Pharma industry’s demands for professionals who are well equipped to take on the challenges of business in the knowledge economy and developing marketing and other professionals in different functional areas who have insight into the market place and are aware of global trends.

This program is slowly ushering into the entire healthcare industry on a holistic basis and catering to the needs of CROs, CRTOs, underwriting,and so on. International marketing is the other emerging focus.

PGDM (Biotech Management):-

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Biotech Management) is a unique industry and has its own individual demands, causing exceptional needs for the industry. With a growth rate of almost 37%, there is a dearth of managers who understand the specialty and novelty of this field, people trained to tackle issues related to IPR, finance, marketing, personnel in this sector. There arises, thus, a new need for specialized Biotech Business Managers.

In this kind of a scenario, SIESCOMS & SIES Indian Institute of Environmental Management (SIES IIEM) took the lead in inaugurating the Post Graduate Diploma in Biotech Business Management, a 2-year full time AICTE approved program. The above program is a unique offering by combining core competencies of the both the institutes: management and bio-sciences.

The first and second semesters will comprise basic and applied concepts in bio-technology and management in an integrated manner. There will be a summer internship of 8 weeks duration with a bio-tech / relevant company at the end of the first year that will help participants to apply the concepts learnt in the first year to a real life situation. The third semester will comprise of elective in bio-technology that a candidate intends to specialize. This semester will also contain the strategic issues and advanced management concepts. Finally the fourth semester will involve a detailed capstone project (based on primary and / or secondary data) applying all the learning in a structured format.
