Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), IIT Bombay
established its management school in 1995 with an objective of transforming
professionals with technological background to "Renaissance Leaders"
of tomorrow.
In the year 2000, the school was renamed as Shailesh J Mehta
School of Management (SJMSOM), in honor of Dr. Shailesh J Mehta, a
distinguished alumnus of IIT Bombay and a generous contributor to the school.
The school of management leads the way in preparing
graduates to respond to the new challenges in businesses, by drawing on the
varied intellectual resources of IIT Bombay and providing an outstanding and
innovative program in management education.

Eligibility:
The candidates securing a minimum aggregate of 60% [CGPI =
6.5/10] over all the semesters of their Bachelor degree in engineering (or
equivalent) or Masters degree in Science (and first class Bachelor degree) are
eligible for admission to the Master of Management Program. There is a
relaxation of 5% in marks or equivalent in CGPI for SC/ST candidates.
Those appearing for the final degree examination can also
apply. The admission in such cases will be subject to their fulfilling the
minimum eligibility criteria.
Selection Procedure -
The prospective candidates are required to appear for the
Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs every year. Please note that the
Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is discontinued from 2011. The candidates
will be invited to appear for Written Ability Test(WAT) and Personal Interview
in the second week of March 2014 based on their performance in CAT.
