Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NGSMIPS), Mangalore was
come into existence in the year 1983.
The College is belongs to the Nitte University and
recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the
Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.
The pharmacy college was started with a view to provide job oriented professional courses in Pharmacy. The college offers graduate and postgraduate programs and is a centre for doctoral study and research.
The UG program is certified by National Board of
Accreditation (NBA) and the Institute is recognized as a centre for doctoral
study and research. The NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences offers

Courses Offered:
Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) is a post-graduate academic
degree in the field of pharmacy. Since pharmaceutical industry is growing at a
rapid pace, more and more colleges are coming up as standalone institutes for
higher education in the field of pharmacy.
The college offers two years long Mater of Pharmacy course.
This course concentrates at detailed knowledge of all the aspects of pharmacy.
Objective of the course is to create qualified professionals in the field of
pharmacy with superb professional and technical knowledge. The course
curriculum includes practical as well as theoretical knowledge of the subject.
A post-graduate in Pharmacy while undergoing the course in

Eligibility-
A pass in B.Pharm from a recognized University, securing not
less than 50% (45% in case of the candidates belonging to reserved category)
marks in aggregate of all the 4 years of study.
Admission of NRIs and Foreign nationals are also considered.
The admission will be based on the equivalence of the subjects and score in the
qualifying examination as approved by the University
Admission Procedure-
- Admission to M.Pharm course is based on merit in the All India Entrance Test, NU PMET which is normally conducted in the month of February each year.
- Application forms are available at the University office at Mangalore. The same can also be downloaded from the website www.nitte.edu.in. The duly filled-in application form should be forwarded along with the photocopies of the documents listed below and a DD for Rs.1,000/- favoring Nitte University payable at Mangalore.
