Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Bangalore was set up in the year 1992 by Sir. M. Visvesvaraya Education Trust.

The institute with an objective of expanding and promoting dental education. International outlook, democratic ideas and the potentialities of Rajiv Gandhi are the inspiring force behind this institution

The college offers the courses in Master of deontology and Bachelor of deontology. It’s recognized by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi and related to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore, Karnataka.

The central library at the most block of the College building incorporates spaciousness for 150 students. There are a unit division libraries conjointly hooked up to every department for the teaching employees. At present, there are nearly seven, 500 books area unit on the market within the library on dental similarly as medical subjects. LIBRARY:                            

• The central library at the main block of the college building has a seating capacity for 150 students. There are departmental libraries also attached to each department for the teaching staff.
• At present, there are nearly 7,500 books are available in the library on dental as well as medical subjects. Numerous journals on different subjects in dentistry and related medical subjects are also available in the college library.
• The central library has also internet facility for the use of students and staff. Every year the institution grants an average of Rs.3,00,000 for the addition of new books and journals. The library functions on all working days from 8 am to 7pm. An information centre is also attached to the library to assist the students and teachers who are interested to procure various types of books and journals from different countries, which are not readily available in the library.
