PSG Institute of
Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore was started in 1985 under PSG
& Sons’ Charities.
PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Coimbatore, India, offers a two-year fellowship program for health professions faculty who have the potential to improve medical education at their schools.
It is the first teaching hospital in Tamil Nadu and the
third teaching hospital in India to get NABH accreditation. PSG Hospitals, a
1000-bed, tertiary care hospital, is associated to the PSG Institute of Medical
Sciences and Research.
The institution has been granted recognition by Medical
Council of India, General Medical Council of UK and Srilankan Medical Council.
Students from this college secure high ranks in the university examination and
various competitive examinations held at national and international level like
PLAB examination of UK and USMLE. It maintains several rural and urban health
centres, manned by qualified medical and paramedical personnel.
