PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore
was founded in 1985 under PSG & Sons’ Charities. The institution has been
granted recognition by Medical Council of India, General Medical Council of UK
and Srilankan Medical Council.
It is the first teaching hospital in Tamil Nadu and the
third teaching hospital in India to get NABH accreditation. PSG Hospitals, a
1000-bed, tertiary care hospital, is affiliated to the PSG Institute of Medical
Sciences and Research.
Institution is to provide world-class medical education to
young men and women and foster research and development as well as evolve
appropriate strategies for health care and medical services for rural and urban
communities; and, to work incessantly to make our vision of "HEALTH FOR
ALL" come true.
Students from this college secure high ranks in the
university examination and various competitive examinations held at national
and international level like PLAB examination of UK and USMLE. It maintains
several rural and urban health centers, manned by qualified medical and
paramedical personnel.
