Mahatma Gandhi
Medical College and Research Institute is situated in Pillaiyarkuppam,
Pondicherry/Puducherry. The college was started by Sree Balaji Educational and
Charitable Public Trust in 2001. It is a constituent part of Sri
BalajiVidyapeeth University, deemed university. Mahatma Gandhi Medical College
and Research Institute is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New
Delhi and recognized by the Government of Puducherry.
The college also offers diploma courses in the field of
medical science. The institute is aimed at imparting medical education and
producing well trained health personnel who can support the healthcare system.
