SDM College of Medical Sciences, Dharwad was founded in the year 2002. It is the first modern medicine Medical College created under the support of the SDM Educational Society.

Course Duration – 5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year)

The M.B.B.S Course is governed by the regulations of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. The duration of the course is four and half years (9 terms, each of 6 month duration) of academic Study and one year of internship.
