The Bishop Cotton Women's Christian Law College was set up in the year 2002. It is the only college in India, which offers 5 year Integrated Law Course, exclusively for women imparting legal education. 

The Bishop Cotton Women's Christian Law College is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, affiliated to Bangalore University till 2008-09 and from 2009-10 affiliated to Karnataka State Law University and approved by the Bar Council of India. The College is managed by the Board of Management of Karnataka Central Diocese of Church of South India.
