Vidya Vikas Institute
of Engineering & Technology (VVIET) was founded in 1997 under Vidya
Vikas Educational Trust.
The institute is belongs to the Vishweswaraya Technological
University (VTU), Belgaum. It is situated in Mysore, Karnataka, India.
The institute is recognized by the Government of Karnataka as well as the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
The institute campus is located near the main city. It is
connected by excellent transport system. It is internet enabled. There are
separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. There are spacious rooms, well
equipped laboratories and workshops. There are facilities like sports and
recreation center and air conditioned auditoriums. There are facilities like

Course Description:
MCA course is an interdisciplinary 3-year PG course. The
course is designed to develop high quality IT professionals to meet the ever
changing industry challenges and requirements.
MCA is a Post Graduation program having six semesters. The
syllabus of first semester is framed with the subjects that provide a base for
the rest of the semesters in an effective way to impart skills and knowledge
about the subjects. In second and third semesters, core Computer Science
subjects are introduced with programming practical labs.
MCA Department:
The course Master of Computer Application was started in the
year 1998 with a vision of creating tomorrow’s IT leaders. The program is aimed
at equipping students from varied backgrounds aspiring to seek career in the
field of Information Technology, with a sound foundation in computer
applications.
The MCA graduates will be competent professional
practitioners and can suitably occupy positions in top IT companies in profiles
such as System Analyst, System Designers, Software Engineers, and Application
Programmers etc.
Here students learn the subjects both in technical &
theoretical aspects which provide them sound knowledge. Students are encouraged
to learn latest technical aspects and to implement their ideas in their
projects. In the final semester, the university recommends industrial training
for the students, which gives them a hands on experience.
The Department has a student association called “OpenNode”
which gives them an opportunity to discover their skills. Under the
association, students conduct an annual technical fest “Techvision” which
provides solid foundation for the growth of the students and the institution.
The event strives to make a mark in enriching the personality of its students
in overall development.. The student Association also releases an annual
magazine called “Technocks” which serves as a platform for students to exchange
their ideas and share the latest technology news.
With the academic year 2014-15 coming to a close, the Vidya
Vikas Institutions has placed on campus more than 200 students through campus
recruitment, in diverse sectors like IT, Manufacturing, Automobile engineering,
Construction, Design, Quality, Robotics, Electrical and Telecommunication. The
other industries that have seen a boom this year have been Banking, Trade, and
Retail and Hospitality industries.
