Symbiosis International University (SIU) is a private coeducational, multi-institutional university located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It has been given official recognition by the UGC and the AICTE. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has conferred an 'A' grade to the university. SIU is part of the Symbiosis Society which is its managing body.The society was established in 1971 by Padmashree SB Mujumdar. It was given autonomous status in 2002 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development and since then has opened many more institutes affiliated to it.
Symbiosis International University has 19 academic institutions spread over nine campuses in Pune, Noida, Bangalore and Nashik. All form part of the Symbiosis Society, with the other institutes in the society being affiliated to other bodies.

Admission Details
For admission to post graduate programs commencing in the academic year of 2014-15, Symbiosis International University will have a centralised admissions process for the benefit and convenience of all candidates applying to various post graduate programs at the University.
Candidates applying to post graduate programs other than an MBA degree will be able to read about the application process in national newspapers shortly.
Information for candidates seeking admission to MBA Programs:
Candidates seeking admission to an MBA programme offered by a constituent institute of Symbiosis International University must do the following:
- Register for the SNAP Test
- Register for the program(s) of interest
- Pay the SNAP Test AND the Program Registration fee
- Appear for the SNAP Test
- If shortlisted, book a slot for the PI-WAT process
- Appear for the PI-WAT process
- Check admission status on www.siu.edu.in after the final merit list is released
- Make a choice and join the program of interest by paying the chosen MBA program's fees and completing other formalities.
SNAP Test
Candidates applying for MBA programmes will have to undertake the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), which is conducted by the Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS). The SNAP test is held at several cities across India on the third Sunday of December every year.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA Programmes in Symbiosis
The Candidate should be Graduate in any discipline from Statutory University with minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) for all the Master of Business Administration Programme, expect for the Programmes, which requires graduate with specific subject specializations.
