Medical College, Bijapur was set up in the year 1910. The medical college offers world class education and the curriculum is designed in a holistic manner and even includes bed side manner training for its students.
The medical college is
a unit of the BLDE University in Karnataka. BLDE University is amongst the
foremost of universities in the state and country.
The institute started Engineering College, Pharmacy College,
Nursing College and the Medical College, along with its own 1000 bed teaching
hospital first of its kind in the country.
The medical college has a record since 1986 and has its
alumni across the globe. It has stalwarts in the field of medicine conducting
various clinical trials and working on a record number of innovations every
