The Pravara Institute
of Medical Sciences, Loni was started in the 1972 in a small village called
Loni in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra State in India.
In the year 1976 Pravara Medical Trust started providing medical care in the primary and secondary level. It also established a hospital with 100 beds.
The hospital grew up from 100 beds to 800 beds with multi disciplinary facilities.
The trust was started by the founder of the co-operative
movement in India Dr. VitthalraoVikhepatil.
The institute is known for providing a wide range of
degrees, diplomas and certificates courses that are recognized by the
Government of India, Govt. of Maharashtra and other states as well as the
University Grants commission (UGC), Medical Council of India (MCI) Dental
Council of India (DCI), All India Physiotherapists Association (AIPA)
Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and Nursing Council of India (INC).
Eligibility:
- Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Medicine/Dentistry course should hold MBBS /BDS degree of recognized University by MCI/DCI.
- A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 30th April of respective academic year can appear for AICET.
- All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal/ Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected.
- A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI/DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration, he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.
- Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at AICET.
- Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/left the seat are not eligible for appearing at AICET.
- Candidate who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31st March respective academic year will be eligible for AICET for admission to postgraduate degree in the same subject only.
- Candidate should be appeared for the AICET Examination conducted by this University and should get minimum 50% marks. However, admission will be on the basis of merit.
Admission Process:
- Admission to all undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be on the basis of performance in the All India Entrance Test conducted by PIMS University.
- Admissions to all courses offered by University are steered by Admission Committee consisting of experienced persons.
- The Admission Committee is responsible for conduct of the entrance test, declaration of results and merit list, counseling and final admission to the courses.
- The AICET (All India Entrance) is conducted at various places in India for selection of candidates for admission to various courses offered by the constituent colleges of PIMS University.
