Technology’s Institute of Management Education and Research (KIT-IMER),
Kolhapur was founded in the year 1983.
The goal of the institute is to be among the top ten institutes of the country in the next 5 years, to be a student centric institute, where academics is followed with utmost passion and sincerity, to ensure a continuous value addition of all employees.
The institute is approved by AICTE and belongs to Shivaji
University. The aim of the institute is to uplift rural talent to cater to the
developing environment. It is their endeavor to encourage rural under

Master of Computer Applications (MCA):
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a three-year (Six
Semester) program after the graduation. This course has been designed to cope
with the ever-increasing demand for computer personnel in almost all
occupations, especially in the IT sector.
MCA course is the most popular choice of Indian students who
are looking for a bright career in the IT sector. This course can be joined
after completion of BCA course. Many students also join that course because BCA
does not offer as many career options as MCA course offers. Moreover, it gives
only a fundamental knowledge of computer languages, which is not sufficient for
getting a wonderful job in IT sector. Besides this, it does not give optimized
environment which MCA offers. Therefore, MCA course has its own significance.
This is a full time master degree course. The curriculum of
this course is three years divided into three parts of six semesters. Students
have to do industrial project in VI semester. For every semester there are
seven subjects it contains both compulsory as well as elective and the title of
the subjects are as bellow.

Eligibility:-
Bachelor’s degree of minimum of three years duration in any
discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with minimum
50% marks in aggregate.
Admission Criteria:
The candidate should have passed BCA or Graduate from a
recognized university. The selection will be based on Entrance Test held by the
university.
