BBA Admission Process in Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies

The Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies (SCMS), Pune is started in the year 2004, under the support of Symbiosis International University. 

The institute offers only one program i.e the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).

The first year will be common to all students. Thereafter students may choose from the following streams:

• Entrepreneurship
• Accounting & Finance
• International Business

It is here that the institute weave together a diverse student community committed to high standards of quality, honesty and ethics.

The cafeteria approach adopted by our curriculum, gives our students an edge as they can pursue their subjects of interest and specialize right at an undergraduate level. 

The motto 'Vasudhaiv kutumbakam', which means, 'the whole world is but one family', is our Founder Director Dr. S. B. Mujumdar’s driving philosophy and for it, initiatives have been taken to foster an atmosphere of international cooperation in academics.

Eligibility:

The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) standard examination from any government-recognized board with minimum 50% marks (45% for S.C. / S.T. students) in one attempt (No Compartment / Supplementary). Students who have appeared for their Std. XII finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate by the notified date.

Applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for the Course.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be short listed on the basis of the SET score.

The short listed candidates will be invited for PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process

Short listing:

• The criteria of short listing candidates for PI-WAT are based on multiple factors like:
• Performance at National Level entrance tests (SET).
• Past academic performance.
• Work experience, if any, in terms of job content and organizations.
• Extra-curricular activities, other interests and accomplishment

Admission Criteria:

The candidate must have: 1. XII pass from any branch with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% for students of SC and ST category. 2. Qualifying the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and Group Discussion & Personal interview of our centre.
