It is managed and run by Jaywant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. The management college is affiliated to University of Pune.

Jayawant Institute of Management Studies has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi. Eligibility - Jayawant Institute of Management Studies

Any graduate with 50% marks (45% for reserved category students, graduated from University within Maharashtra) or those who are appearing for their final year degree examination in any discipline of an approved University

Admission Procedure - Jayawant Institute of Management Studies

• The students seeking admission to MBA in JIMS are required to appear for the CET (Common Entrance Test), GD & PI conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra                                                  
• Students who have appeared for MAT, XAT, ATMA and CAT can also apply to DTE for GD & PI
