Bharati Vidyapeeth
Deemed University (BVDU), Pune was opened in the year 1964.
The students are enrolled in the college through a Common
Entrance Test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth University at all India level
with examination centers in all parts of India.
The college receives about 8000-10000 applications for MBBS
and PG courses every year. The applicants are from all over India and abroad.
The students enrolled for MBBS course should pass HSC or
equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject
with minimum 50% marks.
The students enrolled for PG degree and diploma courses
should possess MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India.
The institute has started five specialized research institutes in the areas of Health Related Sciences, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Applied Chemistry and Social Sciences. Today, Bharati Vidyapeeth has its campuses in New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad, Satara and Panchgani and at quite a few other places.
