Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute is
situated in Pillaiyarkuppam, Pondicherry was instituted in the year 2001.
The institute is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi and recognized by the Government of Pondicherry.
The college was founded by Sree Balaji Educational and
Charitable Public Trust. It is a part of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University,
deemed university.
The college also offers diploma courses in the field of
medical science. The institute is aimed at imparting medical education and
producing well trained health personnel who can support the healthcare system.
The institute is well equipped with all the basic facilities
