The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka is popularly known as the COMEDK among students. COMEDK Engineering & Medical Examination has started with initiation from the Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association and this establishment is striving to provide a interactive, effective and evaluative academic atmosphere to students, who aspire to establish themselves in professional field like Engineering and Medical.
The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, in their endeavor to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”.
Candidates applying for B.E course in General Categories, should passed the 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent qualifying Examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and along with it, candidates having Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics as optional subjects in place of Chemistry, are also eligible. English should be one of the languages of study.
Candidates of SC, ST and Karnataka OBC students the aggregate marks in PCM should not be less than 45% in the qualifying Examination.
For B. Arch Courses:
Candidates who has passed the qualifying examination (2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination) with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST and Karnataka OBC Category candidates). Further the candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture.
For MBBS / BDS Courses:
An applicant for the MBBS/BDS courses should have passed the qualifying examination, 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or any other equivalent examination of its standard. During these two years of study, candidate must have the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. Candidate should pass these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB. In addition, in the competitive entrance test, must have secured not less than 50% marks in PCB.
If you belong to the SC, ST and Karnataka OBC then for you the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination should not be less than 40% and if you score less than 40% in the COMEDK then you will not be considered to take admission in the MBBS course.
In case of the BDS examination, candidates need minimum of 50% marks both in qualifying examination (PCB) and Competitive Entrance Test COMEDK. Here must be English as one of the language of study and also have to pass in English in the qualifying examination.
The COMEDK UGET test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year of entrance examination. The comdek entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the Under-Graduate courses in Comdek Member Institutions. Comdek UGET entrance test, publication of comdek score and comdek rank list will be followed by a centralized counseling.

In COMEDK UGET Exam combined paper for Physics & Chemistry are Compulsory for all candidates. Candidates who aspire the apply for MBBS Course, for them Biology is Compulsory. Mathematics is compulsory for candidates who wish to go for BE Course.
No. of Questions: Total of 120 questions including 60 in physics and 60 in chemistry.
Duration of entrance test is 120 minutes, which is compulsory for all candidates seeking admission in MBBS and BE courses. Candidates should note that Biology and Mathematics tests will also be conducted on the same day . Each test consists of 60 questions and must be completed in 60 minutes. Candidates can select any one of the subjects (Biology and Mathematics). There is no negative marking, each correct answer means 1 mark and will be required to mark answers on an OMR sheet.
