Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Rajaramnagar (formerly known as College of Engineering, Sakharale) took birth in August 1983. Located near Islampur, 7 kms from Pethnaka off Pune-Bangolare highway, RIT emerged as a leading technological institute in Western Maharashtra very soon. Its methodical academic monotorring, innovative staff development programmes like ‘Quality Circle’ forged it ahead of all other institutes.

About KES
Kasegaon Education Society is one of the leading educational Society in the Western Maharashtra. It was established by the leading statesman. Late Shri. Rajarambapu Patil in 1945. Considering the need of time, the Society focused attention on taking the education to the threshold of the rural masses by starting schools in the nearby villages and a hostel for backward class students at Kasegaon.

After the untimely and sad demise of Shri Rajarambapu Patil in 1984, it was Shri Jayant Patil, his son, who alike his father entered his public life through educational activities. He shouldered the responsibility of Kasegaon Education Society. Shri Jayant Patil took the Society with time, diversifying its educational facilities. Today the Society has 31 primary & secondary schools and 11 higher educational institutes under its umbrella. This includes three arts, commerce & science colleges, three information technology institutes, an engineering college, two management institute, a nursing institute and a pharmacy college.

The Society has been conferred with prestigious awards like ‘Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Dalitmitra Sanstha Purskar’, ‘State Award for Educational Institutes’. Certificates of appreciation have also been awarded to the Society by C-DAC & MKCL for its exemplary contribution towards computer literacy.

Rajarambapu Institute of Technology has proved to be a landmark development of the Society as well as instrument for expanse of its horizon.

• To impart advanced technological knowledge for the total upliftment of society in general and rural masses in particular by retaining their Cultural identity.

• To create scientific, technological and cultural awareness amongst students and public at large.

• To make R.I.T. a place of worship for higher learning by inculcating research and development activities
