The K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, abbreviated as KJSCE, was established in 1983 at Somaiya Vidyavihar. It has the departments of Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. KJSCE is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It is one of the premier engineering institutes in Maharashtra. Apart from its sprawling campus, the institution has for long attracted lucrative placement packages for its students.


KJSCE was the first engineering college in Maharashtra to get accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (New Delhi) in 1997.

K.J Somaiya College of Engineering is located at Vidyavihar - a term meaning the home of knowledge. The college is an 'A' grade institution, constantly ranked among the best engineering colleges affiliated to the Mumbai University. It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India. It is one the largest educational campuses of Mumbai.
