BDS- Age Applicant should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete age on or before 31st Dec of the year of admission to the Dental course. Date of Birth recorded in High School/ ICSE or its equivalent certificate will be taken as accepted.

Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category would require in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English a minimum of 40% marks as against the 50% marks for the general category candidates.

MDS- A candidate for admission to the MDS course (Master of Dental Surgery) must have a degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) of an Indian University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India. Candidate not possessing a recognized dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval of his qualifications by the Dental Council of India before he can be admitted to the MDS course of the college.

ADMISSION AND ELIGIBILITY

BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

Eligibility for BDS Candidates seeking admission to the 1year BDS degree course shall satisfy the following requirements:

A pass in HSC Examination ( 10+2 curriculam of the Government of Tamilnadu) or A pass in any examination of any university or authority accepted as equivalent to the above qualification with a minimum of 50% marks in the subjects.
Number of attempts to pass the qualifying examination and improvements for all the courses coming under medicine will be adopted as per the latest Government Orders in force.
Age Limit - Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on December 31st of the year of admission. Age shall be determined based only on the date of birth as given in SSLC / HSC or an equivalent examination certificate.
In addition to the requirements mentioned above the qualifying criteria assessed through common entrance examination conducted by Meenakshi University shall be followed.
