Yenepoya Medical
College Mangalore was established in 1999 and was declared as the
constituent college of Yenepoya University. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi
University of Health Sciences Bangalore for award of degrees. Presently the
Yenepoya Medical College is conducting post graduate courses in 20 departments.
It caters to the health care needs of the regions of Dakshina Kannada and
northern Kerala.
The vision of the college is to be one of the premier
medical institutions in the country based on education, scientific
investigation and health care delivery by 2016. The college strives to produce
outstanding medical teachers, physicians and scientists by providing quality
education to the students, residents, postgraduate and post doctoral trainees,
practicing physicians and the public that integrates the latest research
advances with the best clinical practice.
Eligibility Criteria and Admission:
- The candidates applying for UG courses must have passed two years or Pre-university examination or any equivalent exams.
- The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December on the year of admission.
- He / She must have scored 50% marks in science subjects and also in any of the qualifying examinations having English as one of the subject. 40% marks should be obtained by SC or ST categories students.
- The candidates applying for PG courses should hold a MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
